A contract to build a school in Kingsbury, Indiana was signed in 1904. It was initially a 3-year high school, with seniors moving to another school in the county for their final year. The first recorded graduates who had attended Kingsbury High School graduated in 1912. They converted to a 4-year high school and graduated their first seniors in 1929.
In 1964, Kingsbury High School merged into LaPorte High School. The building then housed elementary students until 1970 when a new elementary school was built. The building was razed in 1971.
